Is Becoming an American Citizen Important to You
There are many things you might consider if you are thinking about becoming an American citizen. Many people try for years to come to the states only to find it is not all they thought it would be. Many of the things you should consider include medical care, taxes, and the cost of living.
Many people spend years trying to get their US Green Card through USCIS. They pay large amounts of money for Green Card renewal on a periodic basis only to find problems with being a citizen. You may not really want to be a citizen of the United States once you realize how it really is.
The medical care in the US is all about money. If you or your child needs an organ transplant and you do not have medical insurance, it will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and most likely you will never get on the list. Hospitals rush patients out before they are ready to go home because insurance companies want to pay as little as possible. The cost of medical insurance is outrageous and possibly too expensive for you to afford each month. If you are a diabetic or you have high blood pressure and your body requires medication on a daily basis for survival, the costs of the medication are so expensive, many people die due to not taking their medication because they cannot afford to buy it. Countries like India offer transplants for just a couple thousand dollars and they provide the best medical care in the world.
The taxes that people pay in the United States are significantly higher than most countries. Everything is taxes so high that it is difficult to survive. If you plan on owning a business, don’t hire employees directly because the payroll taxes are high enough it can be debilitating to your business financially and enough to shut you down. Hire employees through temporary companies who can pay the taxes and worry about comp insurance. Paying as little taxes as possible is very important for a business because you will have to pay at the end of the year.
The cost of living in many cities in the United States is almost unbelievable. Many families find they have to live with another family in order to be able to afford a high rent. Several incomes have to come together to pay one household’s bills. This causes people to have less living space and to live uncomfortable. The food prices have continued to rise on a daily basis and wages paid to employees are lowering. People are having a more difficult surviving on a daily basis. Economical changes like this are causing crime rates to increase from people out of desperation and things will only get worse.
If you have been spending years dreaming about becoming an American citizen, you might want to do a little more research before you rush over and start a new life. You might be extremely happy when you return to your home country and hopefully you don’t waste too many years in the states.
